Welcome to our website

Welcome to Andersson Counselling services.  My name is Kajsa Andersson and I am a practising counsellor based in Freeland and Witney in West Oxfordshire. I am an associate member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I am bound by its ethical framework of good practice.

I support my clients through current and past issues in a non-judgemental and respectful way. I believe that counselling offers an opportunity to be supported in a safe and confidential space. In this environment, the client can express feelings and thoughts which they may not feel able to talk about with friends and family.

It is difficult to describe exactly how counselling works since it is often a very individual experience for each client. But in general terms one could say that the client is, via counselling, given the opportunity to get to know themselves better and to connect with their feelings. This normally leads to that the client finds their inner resources and strengths so that they can ultimately learn to deal with their issues in a better and healthier way, instead of perhaps repeating old and unhelpful patterns of behaviour.

Examples of issues clients bring are:

bulletAbuse bulletAnger bulletAnxiety bullet Bereavement bulletBullying bulletDomestic Abuse bulletDepression bulletFamily and relationship problems  bulletLife changes (positive & negative) bulletPost-Traumatic Stress Disorder bulletSelf-esteem Issues                  bulletSpirituality bulletSuicidal Thoughts bulletWork Problems

However, I welcome any issues my clients bring and appreciate that far from all issues will fit into one specific description.
